Employee welfare - MPC widens knowledge on Musculoskeletal Disorder

On 12 January 2021, about 40 employees attended a talk on Musculoskeletal Disorder (MSD) awareness which was held at the Cruise Ship Centre.  Representing Tharphy, Musculoskeletal & Sports Physiotherapist Company, Mohamed Kassim, presented the talk on the symptoms of MSD. The symptoms of MSD can be identified when one experience pain in wrist, fore arms, neck or back, discomfort, tingling, numbness, sleep interruption and more. He added, commonly in a workplace, employees may experience a back pain, discomfort in the neck and back area etc.

During the talked, Mohamed Kassim shown several exercise movements for example correct sitting posture, stretching or to exercise 30 minutes each day. Thus, helping to prevent further injuries. Further, he continued sharing more exercises and methods to strengthening muscles to prevent MSD injuries.

At end of his talk, he advised those who has the MSD symptoms to take immediate measures to avoid any unnecessary injuries in the future.
