
Mid-Autumn Festival
On 9th September 2022, the Management and staff of Muara Port Company Sdn. Bhd. (MPC) celebrated the Mid-Autumn Festival, hosted by the Administration Department at the Muara Conventional Terminal Cruise Ship Centre.
Mid-Autumn Festival, also known as the Mooncake Festival, is a traditional festival celebrated in Chinese culture, and is the second most important festival in China after the Chinese New Year. It is held on the 15th day of the 8th month of the Chinese Lunar Calendar. It is typically observed by having a family reunion dinner, lighting paper lanterns, eating mooncakes, and so on.
The festival is celebrated annually by MPC, with the aim to strengthen employee engagement as well as foster relations among employees of all levels, while also celebrating cultural diversity within the company. The event began with a brief video presentation on Mid-Autumn Festival, followed by quizzes and refreshments.
The celebration was graced by MPC’s Senior Management Team, led by Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Zeng Caili, a representative from Darussalam Assets, Puan Frances Ngaw, the Senior Investment Manager, team from MPC’s subsidiary company, Muara International Fish Landing Sdn Bhd (MIFL) and MPC employees.
