On 21^st May 2020, Muara Port Company (MPC) has reached out to families and individuals, comprising staff of MPC and residents, within the Pekan Muara and Kg Kapok area, with the support of Kampung Heads from Mukim Serasa, in a Ramadhan charity drive.

The charity drive aimed at lessening the burden of those in need during the fasting month and to provide support in their preparations for Hari Raya Aidilfitri.  The month of Ramadhan is traditionally associated with fasting, reflection, and an increased focus on charitable giving.  As part of MPC’s annual charity and corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme, the employees displayed high team spirit by visiting homes, distributing donations such as household necessities, and food contributions.

The donations were handed out by the management and staff of MPC and led by the Chief Executive Officer, Mr Zeng Caili.

It is hoped that the charity drive not only provides welfare support to the internal staff at MPC and relief support for the other beneficiaries, but also creates delight to the employees by sharing kind acts, and encourages the public to embrace the spirit of giving and reap the blessings of Ramadhan.

It is one of ‘MPC’s objective to provide continual community support under the company’s CSR, and to foster communities by doing various outreach programmes and stakeholder engagements.
