
27 Guilin University of Electronic Technology Students Visit Muara Port Company for Educational Tour
Friday, 15th August 2025. A group of 27 students from Guilin University of Electronic Technology, China, visited Muara Port Company Sdn. Bhd. (MPC) for an educational tour aimed at deepening their understanding of port operations and logistics in Brunei Darussalam. The visit was organized in collaboration with the Guangxi People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen international academic and cultural exchange.
The student delegation was led by university lecturer Ms Fan Zhiyan and was warmly welcomed at the Cruise Ship Centre (CSC) by MPC Chief Executive Officer, Mr Wei Jinfeng.
The visit began with a welcoming speech from Mr Wei, who expressed his enthusiasm for hosting international academic visitors. This was followed by an introductory presentation on Muara Port’s operations, its strategic role in regional logistics, and the port's continuous development.
After the presentation and discussion, the students toured the MPC Gallery located at the CSC. The visit continued with a stop at MIFL, a subsidiary of MPC, where students gained first-hand exposure to daily logistics and freight handling processes.
MPC believes in the importance of fostering international academic and industry linkages as part of its commitment to knowledge sharing and global collaboration.
