Brunei Innovation Lab Explores Collaboration Opportunities with Muara Port Company
Monday, 12 January 2026. Brunei Innovation Lab (BIL) visited Muara Port Company Sdn Bhd (MPC) to advance discussions on technology-driven collaboration, building on engagements held in September 2025.
MPC briefed the delegation on its role as Brunei Darussalam’s main seaport, key operations, digitalisation efforts, and ongoing port expansion to boost capacity and accommodate larger vessels. Recent initiatives such as the Anti-Fatigue System, advanced warehouse equipment, and digital platforms (TOPS and EDI) were highlighted as part of MPC’s modernisation drive.
Both parties explored collaboration opportunities in port digitalisation, operational efficiency, technology pilots, workforce development, and sustainability. The visit included site tours of the Quay Crane area and Muara Fish International Landing, providing firsthand insight into operations and infrastructure upgrades.
The visit concluded with a shared commitment to pursue joint initiatives that support MPC’s expansion and contribute to Brunei’s broader digitalisation and economic diversification goals.
