MPC engages with local talent at Jelajah Kerjaya as Government reinforces drive on employment

Sunday, 19th October 2025. In a continuing effort to combat unemployment, the Government has urged all parties to remain vigilant and work together in creating employment opportunities for the nation’s workforce. In line with this initiative, Muara Port Company Sdn Bhd (MPC) participated in the Jelajah Kerjaya 2025 job fair, held at the BRIDEX International Convention Centre in Jerudong from 16 to 19 of October.

MPC actively participated in the event, drawing strong interest from jobseekers and receiving over 400 applications. The high level of engagement reflects growing interest in the company’s expanding operations and future opportunities.

The company’s booth was visited by a key dignitary, the Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Finance and Economy II, Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew Abdullah. His presence highlighted the importance of collaboration between government and industry in creating employment opportunities, underscoring the value of industry-employer partnerships in national employment initiatives.

By engaging with fresh graduates and jobseekers at the fair, MPC aims to offer real pathways for local participants to contribute to Brunei’s economic transformation. The company is positioning itself not only as an employer of choice but as a partner in human capital development, aligning with the Government’s emphasis on job creation and skills development.

Through its presence at the job fair and collaboration with national employment efforts, MPC demonstrates a strong commitment to investing in Bruneian talent as part of its growth trajectory.
