MPC Staff Explore Upskilling Opportunities at Career Development Event with Cosmo Technology

Wednesday, 29 October 2025. Muara Port Company Sdn. Bhd. (MPC) hosted an engaging Career Development Event in collaboration with Cosmopolitan College of Commerce & Technology (CCCT), attended by 51 MPC staff members. The event, held at the Cruise Ship Centre, provided a platform for MPC employees to explore opportunities for upskilling and reskilling in alignment with the Company’s strategic goals for manpower development.

The session was facilitated by Ms. Matet Bucu, Senior Deputy General Manager, together with eight representatives from CCCT. They provided insightful information on the College’s wide range of academic offerings. Key programmes highlighted included the City & Guilds (UK) Level 3 Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety, accredited by SHENA (Safety, Health and Environment National Authority), and the City & Guilds (UK) Level 3 Certificate in Logistics Operations, endorsed by BRUFA (Brunei Freight Forwarders Association).

During the Career Development Event, employees explored flexible study routes, programme entry criteria, and diverse learning pathways designed to enhance both personal and professional development. The session also included an interactive Q&A and a fun mini game, which encouraged active participation and engagement from MPC employees.

Ms. Matet emphasized that CCCT offers cost-effective education routes, making higher studies more attainable for the wider community. She also provided a short overview of the College, established in 2004, and highlighted its commitment to nurturing competent graduates who can thrive on a global stage.
