MPC Supports Trade convention to showcase BIMP-EAGA strengths

Muara Port Company Sdn. Bhd. (MPC) signed an agreement to support the BIMP-EAGA Trade Convention 2023 (BETCON 2023) to promote trade, tourism, and investment in the Brunei Darussalam-Indonesia-Malaysia-Philippines East ASEAN Growth Area (BIMP-EAGA) that will take place at Bridex Hall 1 and 2 from October 25 to 29.

Signing on behalf of BEBC was the Chairman, Yang Mulia Pg (Dr) Haji Haris bin Pg Haji Duraman, while MPC was represented by the Chief Executive Officer, Yang Mulia Mr. Zeng Caili.  

According to the chairperson of the organizing committee, Haji Alimen bin Haji Jaafar, the aim of the convention is to provide a venue for enterprises from the BIMP-EAGA region and present products, services, and investment prospects as well as opportunities for networking and knowledge exchange. Around 300 exhibitors and 1,000 delegates from the sub-region and development partners South Korea, Japan, China, Australia, and other international partners are set to attend.  Furthermore, BEBC is proud to have MPC with its world-class port facility and expertise in logistics on board as a partner hence it plays a pivotal role in enhancing connectivity and promoting seamless trade within BIMP-EAGA.

Meanwhile, Mr Zeng Caili supports the convention to promote collaboration and enhances networking. Thus, advancing trade, tourism, investment, and the overall development of the sub-region.  He also added that the convention strengthens business relationships among BIMP-EAGA regions, BIMP-EAGA Development Partners and international vendors.  

MPC signed on as a Title package sponsor that is worth $50,000.00 to support the convention by signing an agreement with BIMP-EAGA Business Council (BEBC). The company continues its support to promote trade, tourism, and investment locally and regionally.
