
Muara Port Company Hosts Awareness Talk on Human Trafficking Prevention
Wednesday, 5 November 2025. A total of seventy-six employees from Muara Port Company Sdn. Bhd. (MPC) attended an Awareness Talk on Human Trafficking Prevention, organized in collaboration with the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the Royal Brunei Police Force. Held at the Cruise Ship Centre (CSC), the session aimed to strengthen staff awareness on human trafficking, crime prevention, workplace and port security, as well as their legal obligations.
The talk was delivered by Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Hjh Roszaffina @ Anis binti Hj Ahmad @ Md Ariffin, who shared her professional insights and real-life experiences relevant to the port sector. Participants took part in interactive discussions on recognizing signs of trafficking, implementing preventive actions, upholding ethical behavior, and enhancing cooperation between MPC and law enforcement authorities.
This initiative reflects MPC’s strong commitment to maintaining safety, security, and ethical practices within its operations. The session equipped employees with the knowledge to identify possible indicators of human trafficking and take appropriate action when necessary. It also highlighted the importance of vigilance in protecting port activities, staff, and the broader community, while reinforcing integrity and compliance with both national laws and international standards.
