Muara Port Company Staff Attend Anti-Corruption Workshop to Strengthen Ethical Standards

Wednesday, 5th February 2025. Around 90 staff members from Muara Port Company (MPC) participated in a significant Anti-Corruption Workshop held at the Cruise Ship Centre (CSC), Muara Port. The primary aim of the workshop was to reinforce the company’s commitment to ethical practices, raise awareness of corruption risks, and foster a culture of integrity.

The event commenced with opening remarks from MPC’s Chief Operating Officer, Fazilah Yassin, who underscored the importance of transparency and accountability within the organization. He emphasized that one of the workshop’s key objectives was to deepen employees' understanding of the risks associated with corruption and to equip them with the necessary tools to identify and prevent it.

The session was then led by Chief Special Investigator, Puan Hjh Norashiken Hj Mat Salleh from the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), who delivered an insightful presentation. She provided staff with an in-depth look at the various risks of corruption that could impact the industry. The workshop concentrated on practical strategies for identifying, preventing, and addressing potential corruption risks in daily operations. Another key focus was on the importance of reporting suspicious activities to safeguard the organization from corruption threats.

As part of its ongoing efforts to promote integrity, MPC continues to integrate anti-corruption measures into its corporate policies. These initiatives align with national strategies to combat corruption and encourage transparency in business practices. MPC also collaborates closely with government agencies, including the Anti-Corruption Bureau, to maintain the highest ethical standards in the port sector.
