Muara Port Company Takes Part in 2024 Maulidur Rasul Procession
Monday, 16th September 2024. Thirty-five members of Muara Port Company (MPC), led by the Assistant Manager, Awang Ahmad Ilmi Haji Adanani, took part in the Maulidur Rasul procession held at Taman Haji Sir Muda Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien in the capital. This event commemorates the birth of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) and underscores the importance of adhering to the Sunnah in daily life.
The procession was graced by the presence of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam. The celebration, themed ‘Preserving the Mind based on the Sunnah of the Prophet (pbuh),’ emphasized the significance of preserving intellect through the teachings and traditions of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).
Accompanying His Majesty were His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office, along with His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Malik, His Royal Highness Prince Haji Sufri Bolkiah, and His Royal Highness Prince Haji Jefri Bolkiah. Their presence underscored the royal family's support for the event and its significance in the nation’s cultural and religious landscape.
The annual celebration featured a ‘Dikir Marhaban’ performance and recitations of ‘Sayyidul Istighfar’ by officers and staff from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Home Affairs, and the Religious Teachers University College of Seri Begawan (KUPUSB). The event was further marked by twenty-one cannon shots fired in the capital, heralding the commencement of the procession which wound through the major roads of the city.
