Friday, 17th October 2025. Muara Port Company Sdn. Bhd. (MPC) recently welcomed a study visit from the Othman Yeop Abdullah Graduate School of Business (OYAGSB), Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) Kuala Lumpur Campus.

The visit was facilitated by Universiti Brunei Darussalam School of Business and Economics (UBDSBE) as part of OYAGSB’s MBA overseas module, aimed at providing students with firsthand exposure to regional port operations and logistics management.  A total of ten MBA students and three lecturers participated in the visit. The delegation was led by Dr. Thuraya Farhana Hj Said, Deputy Dean (Engagement & Partnerships) from UBDSBE and Dr. Nazahah binti Abd Rahim, MBA Programme Director and Senior Lecturer from OYAGSB, UUM Kuala Lumpur Campus.

Upon arrival at MPC Headquarters, the group was received by representatives from the Marketing and Business Development Department.  The visit continued with a guided tour of Muara Port’s key facilities, including the Muara Conventional Terminal (MCVT), Muara Container Terminal (MCT), and Muara International Fish Landing (MIFL). Participants also had the special opportunity to board the Astro Ocean Cruise vessel, which was docked at the port during their visit, where they took photos and learned more about cruise ship operations.  

Before concluding with a group photo session at the MPC Headquarters, the Marketing and Business Development Manager, Mr. Lizhu Huan, presented tokens of appreciation to Dr Thuraya Farhana Hj Said of UBDSBE and Dr Nazahah binti Abd Rahim of OYAGSB as a gesture of gratitude for their visit and participation.  

Muara Port Company expressed its appreciation for the opportunity to host OYAGSB and reaffirmed its commitment to fostering knowledge exchange through educational and international engagements.
