Sayyidina Hasan Secondary School Students Visit Muara Port

Wednesday, 20th November 2024.  A group of 20 students from Year 9 and 10 from Sayyidina Hasan Secondary School, along with two teachers, had the opportunity to visit Muara Port Company Sdn. Bhd. (MPC).  The visit provided students with a firsthand look at the vital role of the port in international trade and logistics.

During the tour, students explored various port facilities and learned about key operations such as cargo handling, logistics, and environmental management. To enhance the experience, MPC organized interactive games and activities related to port operations, allowing students to engage with concepts like logistics and transportation in a fun and educational way.

MPC was delighted to host the students and emphasized its commitment to supporting educational visits across all levels, from primary to tertiary education. By offering these hands-on learning opportunities, MPC aims to inspire young people to explore careers in logistics and maritime industries.

Before the visit concluded, MPC representative, Puan Hjh Azian Hj Mohammad awarded the winners in a prize presentation before taking a group photo.   The event not only allowed students to connect classroom learning with real-world applications but also reinforced the importance of the port in Brunei’s economy and its global trade connections.

This visit is part of Sayyidina Hasan Secondary School’s ongoing effort to provide students with valuable experiences and exposure by encouraging them to explore knowledge beyond the classroom.
