Study Visit by Kuantan Port Delegation to Muara Port

Tuesday, 16 December 2025.  Muara Port Company Sdn. Bhd. (MPC) hosted a delegation from Kuantan Port for a two-day study visit aimed at knowledge sharing and strengthening professional collaboration. The visit provided exposure to Muara Port’s container terminal operations, systems, and management practices.

The programme began at MPC Headquarters with an overview presentation, followed by site visits to key operational areas, including the Cruise Ship Centre and the Muara Container Terminal (MCT) Control Room. The delegation also visited Muara Fish International Landing (MIFL), where insights were shared on fisheries landing operations, cold-chain facilities, and value-added port services.

Comprehensive technical discussions were conducted at the MPC Headquarters and the MCT Department, focusing on key operational areas including vessel and yard planning, equipment deployment and utilization, terminal operating systems, and effective manpower management. On the second day, the sessions were led by the Manager of MCT, Mr Guo Yiqing, who provided in-depth insights into the terminal operating systems in use, workforce planning strategies, and staff training and competency development practices, fostering productive knowledge sharing and operational alignment.

The visit concluded with an appreciation session attended by MPC’s Chief Operating Officer, Fazilah Yassin, followed by the presentation of a token of appreciation and a group photograph. Overall, the visit was mutually beneficial and reinforced MPC’s commitment to regional cooperation and ongoing knowledge exchange.
