University of Hong Kong Students Gain Insights During Muara Port Company Tour

Thursday, 28th August 2025. A group of 20 students from the University of Hong Kong visited Muara Port Company Sdn. Bhd. (MPC) for an educational tour designed to enhance their understanding of port operations and logistics in Brunei Darussalam.

Mr Wei Jinfeng, Chief Executive Officer of MPC, warmly welcomed the student group at the MPC Headquarter (HQ). The group was led by Mr Yau Long Yin, Assistant Student Affairs Manager from the Student Affairs Office.

The visit commenced with a welcoming address by Mr Wei, who shared his enthusiasm for receiving academic guests from abroad. This was followed by an introductory briefing on Muara Port’s operations, its vital role in regional logistics, and the port’s ongoing development initiatives.

After the presentation and discussion session, the students toured the MPC Gallery at headquarters. The visit then proceeded to the Muara Container Terminal, where they observed the operation of quay cranes essential for container loading and unloading. The tour concluded at Muara International Fish Landing (MIFL), an MPC subsidiary, where the students witnessed day-to-day logistics and freight handling operations up close.
