Saturday, 14^th September 2024. Muara Port Company (MPC) has conferred its second MPC Meritorious Award to distinguished students of Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB). The awards were presented during the UTB Excellence Award Ceremony held at the Plenary Hall of the International Convention Centre (ICC) in Berakas.

The recipients of this prestigious accolade are Dayang Nur Ameera Syafina binti Haji Ariffin, who graduated with First Class Honours in Bachelor of Business (Honours) in Applied Economics and Finance, and Dayang Miza Hameezah binti Mohammad, who earned First Class Honours in Marketing and Information Systems.

The award presentation was led by the Guest of Honour, Yang Mulia Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Mohamad Azmi bin Haji Mohd Hanifah, Deputy Minister (Energy), Prime Minister’s Office. Also in attendance were Muara Port representatives, Mr. Wei Jinfeng, the  Chief Executive Officer and Puan Hajah Azian binti Haji Mohammad, the Human Resource Manager. 

The MPC Meritorious Award recognizes outstanding final-year students from the UTB School of Business who have demonstrated exceptional academic performance, leadership qualities, and a commendable ability to balance academic achievements with active involvement in extra-curricular activities.  MPC hopes that this award will not only benefits the recipients but also serves as an inspiration for other students pursuing academic and professional excellence.
