MPC held its second annual company dinner on 21st February 2019. The dinner was held at the Indera Kayangan Ballroom of the Empire Hotel and Country Club. The Guest of Honour for the occasion was MPC Chairman and Minister of Finance and Economy II, YB Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew. Also in attendance was MPC’s Acting Chief Executive Officer, Chief Financial Officer, Vice General Manager, Managers, and employees. Representatives from MPC’s local shareholder, Darussalam Assets Sdn Bhd (“DA”), were also present during the dinner.

The event commenced with a speech from YB Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew, followed by a speech from MPC’s Vice General Manager, YM Awang Fazilah Yassin. Both speeches covered the journey undertaken by MPC since taking over from the Government of Brunei Darussalam, and the accomplishments that have been realised by the Company. To conclude, words of encouragement were shared, motivating the attendees to pursue further improvements in order to better the economy and the nation.

Lucky draws were then held throughout the remainder of the function, during which the attendees had an opportunity to win from a large selection of prizes. Winners walked away with a large range of electronics goods including fitness trackers, humidifiers, and home goods. Dinner was served simultaneously during the lucky draw. The dinner event ended once the last prize had been awarded.
