Site Visit by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications (“MTIC”)
On 09/01/19, the Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications’ Permanent Secretary, YM Nazri bin Haji Mohammad Yusof visited Muara Port to obtain a better understanding of the nature of the operations, MPC’s future plans, and issues faced by the Company. YM Nazri was accompanied by the Deputy Permanent Secretary at MTIC, YM Pengiran Mohd Amirrizal bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud, Chief Executive of the Maritime and Ports Authority Brunei Darussalam (“MPA”), YM Haji Salihin bin Haji Aspar, and several officers from MTIC and MPA.
The visit began with a briefing to the visiting delegation at MPC’s HQ, which included a showing of the Company’s corporate video. During the briefing the visiting delegation was given an opportunity to ask questions regarding MPC and its operations at Muara Port. Following the briefing, MPC lead the delegation on a tour around the facilities within both the conventional and container terminals. The tour was concluded at the container terminal wharf where the delegation was provided with a brief description of MPC’s potential expansion plan for the ports.
