From 10th November 2018 to 13th November 2018, the Ship, Nippon Maru, called at Muara Port under the 45th Ship for South East Asian and Japanese Youth Program (“SSEAYP”), which is an exchange programme carried out by the government of Japan with the active participation and cooperation of the ASEAN member countries.

The passenger vessel was docked at the conventional terminal within close proximity of the Cruise Ship Centre. During the three-day visit, the Nippon Maru hosted a dinner event for participants of the initiative. On the final day of the ship’s stop in Brunei, a farewell ceremony was held, which saw a large number of families enter the port to bid their children and homestay guests farewell as they continue their journey to the next port of call.
